Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi are two filmmakers oriented in the field of cinema archaeology and visual research. Their work focuses on the creative reuse of archival film materials, transforming them into Works of Artistic Avant-Garde that investigate memory, time and image.
Through the film frame as a research tool, they have created a unique visual language that blends cinema, visual arts and historical documentation. Their works have been exhibited in museums and international festivals, recognizing the importance of their practice in contemporary art.
